The 3rd Annual Empowerment Dinner is a unified effort to celebrate the work and generate financial support for the outreach ministries and infrastructure of the more than 200 Christian Methodist Episcopal Churches comprising the Eighth Episcopal District across the state of Texas and the country of Jamaica.
2021: Shared over $73,000 With Eighth Episcopal District congregation and community throughout the State of Texas
Out collective engagement has assisted in the support of various ministries, including : efforts to address homelessness; regular distribution of food and clothing for families; leadership development for young people; head start student development through sponsorship and of 3 early childhood development centers in Jamaica; encouraging citizen engagement in voter registration, education, and participation in Texas; advocacy for criminal justice reform and advocacy to end world hunger.
